Organic cotton in yoga accessories, organic cotton yoga rug, organic cotton yoga mat, yoga towel

Are you getting ''irritated'' by your yoga mat? Skin is the biggest organ in our body - feed it well !

If your skin is getting irritated during or after yoga practice, the yoga mat you are practicing on might be the cause.

Most commonly yoga mats are made from plastic or latex/rubber. The material we are practicing on is surely affecting all of us but the skin of some of us is just more sensitive to certain materials.

Latex is the material made up of the rubber tree grown in Malaysia. Yoga mat from rubber is still a good choice for environmentally conscious yogis but it might not be a choice for everybody.

''Latex allergy is a reaction to certain proteins found in natural rubber latex, a product made from the rubber tree. If you have a latex allergy, your body mistakes latex for a harmful substance.'' The definition is taken from Mayo clinic.

If you are experiencing itchiness, skin redness or rashes on your skin after touching latex products like for instance your yoga mat you might be allergic to latex.

Don't worry, you don't need to throw away your yoga mat!

Please don't do it! Just use a cover for your yoga mat like a natural yoga towel or natural cotton yoga rug.

Yes I know, Mysore cotton yoga rugs have been here for ages, that's how yogis practiced a long time ago.

In Leela we upgraded them, we use GOTS certified organic cotton...but that's not all! We thought about the dyes as well - because they are the main cause of water pollution in small villages in India.

For the dyeing process we are using entire ayurvedic herbs, not only powders. So you will benefit not only from beautiful bright colors but also medicinal properties which are infused in the rugs and towels along with the colors. Check their properties here!

No more irritation!

Get rid of allergies and skin irritation not only during yoga practice. The rest of the day is super important as well! We practice 2 to 3 hours per day, but what about the remaining 20 to 22 hours?

Well, we don't make clothes...yet :) For that you can check other clean brands. But we thought about your shower as well :)

Here you can read more about how and why we decided to come up with Leela towels and offer healthy alternative to super light micro fiber yoga towels.

Towel is a piece of material which is coming  to the close proximity with your entire skin when you wrap yourself up after shower.

That's why we came up with Herbally infused towels, so no skin irritations or allergies have a chance ! No harmful dyes are released to the drinking water during the manufacturing process neither during your home wash.

Even Mr. Dyer can dye the looms by his hands without any protection - as the dyes are non-toxic and purely natural.
